Three Surreal Incentive Trip Locations

When it comes to incentive trips, everybody’s already quite familiar with tropical destinations like Bora Bora, Hawaii, St. Barts, and cities of romance like Paris and Venice. While these are still great places to visit because of their natural beauty and culture, a lot of people are no longer that interested in the same old, same old. They’re looking for an adventure — something that perhaps, in a group of 50 people,a single person that’s been to that place can be found.

Therefore, if your company is designing a travel incentive program, perhaps it’s time to scrap out the usual places and switch them up with destinations that offer something so rare, and likely to be more effective in inspiring potential recipients to work optimally to the advantage of your company.

Romantic and tropical, apparently, are (in the language of today’s young and hip crowd), “basic.” Surreal is the new big thing when it comes to travel. More and more people want the ultimate “wow” factor, but where on Earth are the places that offer it? Well, listed below are three surreal incentive trip locations that are definitely beyond what most folks can realistically expect to experience intheir lifetime.

  1. Zhangye Danxia landform in Gansu, China – This natural wonder is like one massive, multicolored gemstone that fell from heaven. It’s a rich combination of vibrant hues like turquoise, teal, jungle green, mustard yellow, russet orange and reds in the fall, and it changes into subdued colors when seasons change, but all year round it remains to be a delightful visual miracle. Tourists marvel at the result of red sandstone and mineral deposits which are 24 million years in the making.
  2. Sea of Stars on Vaadhoo Island in the Maldives – Well, Maldives is a tropical destination but some really just go there to get a tan and miss out on the evening magic Vaadhoo Island offers. The water glows at night due to phytoplankton and the island automatically becomes a fantastical place because of these marine microbes. Not all beaches in the world offer the same night time surreal “special,” so Maldives is surely a great location for a unique incentive trip.
  3. Salar De Uyuni in the Potosí and Oruro departments of southwest Bolivia – If there was ever a time that you wanted to walk on water or a giant mirror, these dreams will only be realized in the world’s largest salt flat. People normally don’t want to travel during the rainy season, but this season is the most enchanting time to come to Salar De Uyuni which turns the salt flat into the sky’s giant mirror. Those who have seen this place claim that it gave them a fresh perspective of the world.

He's set up a 7 tier program that allows for flexibility and he's also helped us to market the program."
